Employment Transportation Programs

STS, with the assistance of its partners in the County Assistance Office and the Team PA Career Link, currently provides employment transportation services to the citizens of Schuylkill County who are without available transportation to and from their place of employment. There are certain guidelines regarding income and family size that are used to determine service eligibility.

Current Welfare-to-Work services are provided through grants issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Department of Public Welfare and are limited to destinations within Schuylkill County.

Some points to remember:

Please be ready 15 minutes early as scheduled pickup times are approximate The most efficient and economical form of public transportation will be scheduled Please do not eat, smoke or drink in the vehicle All reservations must be made 24 hours in advance (i.e., an appointment for Monday must be made by the previous Friday) All side trips must also be scheduled and are subject to program guidelines Notify STS of any special needs, instructions or assistance required
