2011 STS Scavenger Hunt
On Thursday August 11, 2011, almost two dozen kids participated in the Third Annual STS Scavenger Hunt. The Hunters, ages 11 to 15, arrived at Union Station in Pottsville on STS fixed route buses to begin their search for items on their clue sheets. Prizes were awarded through a drawing at the end of the day.

Joan Breslin, STS Marketing and Service Support Coordinator, supervised the activities. She is wearing the blue T-shirt to right of center in above photo that was taken in the new Union Station waiting room. Standing to the right of Joan is Rose Partridge, proprietor of the Partridge House Bed and Breakfast, who sponsored the First Prize -- an Apple iPod.
On Third Street in Pottsville our participants had to locate a particular brick with Congressman Tim Holden’s name that is embedded in the length of sidewalk created as a memorial display by the Schuylkill County Historical Society.
Other Scavenger Hunters were captured in the photo below taken as they searched for more clues along Centre Street in Pottsville.
